My favorite book of 2021 so far… Circe is about a woman who grows into herself. It is a beautiful character study. If you love greek mythology, this is the book for you. Even if you don’t love greek mythology, this will make you fall in love with it.
Open Water
At the heart of the story it is a love song to the young black man’s soul. This story belongs to all black men and only them. Everyone else makes an appearance.
Beyond My Dreams
The way Rola’s love for Kaniz grew from receiving and expecting, to giving. The way she started to understand him and make sacrifices for his well being taught me that love is not all about receiving.
